1. India will help Armenia to build satellite and remote sensing data matters and train Armenian scientists as both the countries signed three agreements to boost bilateral cooperation.
- NASA successfully launched its football-stadium-sized, super pressure balloon from New Zealand, that will help detect cosmic rays from beyond our galaxy as they penetrate the Earth’s atmosphere.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s longest bridge over the Brahmaputra river in Assam on 24 May. The bridge will connect Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and is 9.15 kilometers long.
- Tata Communications has elected private equity veteran Renuka Ramnath as the new chairperson.
- China has launched its first domestically built aircraft carrier, which will join an existing warship bought from Ukraine.
- India’s youngest ever chancellor, Dileep K Nair, has received Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Foundation Kerala State award for the year 2016-17 for his excellent performance in the field of education.
- The World Health Organization has announced that it is ready to test the first malaria vaccine ‘mosquirix’ in 2018.
- Northeast’s sixth and largest hub for information technology has been inaugurated in Agartala. The hub has been set up at a cost of Rs 50 crore to boost employment and e-governance besides export of software technology.
