1. Faction – a small organized dissenting group within a larger one, especially in politics.

Usage: Sasikala faction is ‘AIADMK Amma’ and OPS’ ‘AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma’.
2. Veracity – conformity to facts; accuracy.
Synonyms: authenticity, credibility, impartiality, integrity, probity
Antonyms: deceit, hypothesis, infidelity
Usage: The teacher doubted the student’s veracity when he turned in a paper that had obviously been written by someone else.
3. Erudite – having or showing great knowledge or learning.
Synonyms: knowledgeable, literate, scholarly, brainy, cultivated, highbrow
Antonyms: uneducated, common, ignorant, uncultured
Usage: The room was full of erudite scholars who made the discussion on astronomy fun and interesting.
4. Engulf – sweep over (something) so as to surround or cover it completely.

10. Staunch – very loyal and committed in attitude.

Usage: Since the two countries are staunch allies it is not surprising they will work together in the war to defeat their shared enemy.
