  1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a special digital exhibition titled ‘Bapu Ko Karyanjali’ on the Champaran Satyagraha.

– April 2017 marks the centenary of the Champaran Satyagraha – Mahatma Gandhi’s first Satyagraha in India. A century ago, Mahatma Gandhi had taken several steps to improve the condition of the people in Champaran (Bihar).

  1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release a book ‘Matoshree’ authored by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on April 11.

– The book covers the life and times of legendary “Devi Ahilyabai Holker” who ruled the Holkar Empire spread over the Malwa region from 1767 to 1795.

-Ahilyabai is remembered and worshipped by people for her exemplary governance, sense of justice and fairness.
