  1. The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the first NIMCARE World Health Day Summit 2017 (April 7) in New Delhi.

  1. The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh inaugurated the web portal and mobile application named “Bharat ke Veer” on the occasion of Valour Day (9 April) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

– This website is technically supported by National Informatics Centre (NIC) and powered by State Bank of India.

 

  1. The Minister of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation M.Venkaiah Naidu launched 352 housing projects in 53 cities in 17 States across the country with an investment of over Rs.38, 000 cr to build over two lakh (2) houses.
  2. India and Bangladesh inked nearly two dozen pacts in strategic areas of defence and civil nuclear cooperation in a bid to give boost to their ties , after “productive” talks between their prime ministers.

  1. President Donald Trump has tapped Indian-American Vishal Amin as his new Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator.

 

  1. Chinese electronics giant “Hisense” has announced its status as an official sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first Chinese consumer electronics brand to sponsor the tournament.
