- The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the first NIMCARE World Health Day Summit 2017 (April 7) in New Delhi.

- Chinese electronics giant “Hisense” has announced its status as an official sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first Chinese consumer electronics brand to sponsor the tournament.
